Chora (Town)

My look I have for you today is from a night out in town. While anything goes, remember, this is Mykonos- chic and simple with sandals is my uniform of choice. I learned this lesson the hard and embarrassing way my first year on the island. While wearing heels, I took a tumble and was complete road kill! All in front of at least 300 global citizens. I was quite popular for the rest of the trip. So now, it’s flats and sandals only!

The weather of late has been quite warm and while these shorts are fantastic with soaring temps they were a bit hot and “clingy”…if you know what I mean! Leather and Summer…hmmm…

Still, I loved my look. I’ll do anything for fashion!

I am wearing:

Topshop gold leather shorts
Helmut Lang black silk tank top
Steve Madden gladiator sandals

Sun Goddess

Well, it has taken about half a Greek second to get fully immersed into my Mykonos lifestyle, relaxed and suntanned. I am now officially the Sun Goddess of Mykonos. Life is beautiful here. The food, culture, the pace of the day- everything you want from a summer vacation in Greece. I have done a little shopping (have to help out the economy ya know!), all things that I will share with you on another post soon!

This fantastic photo was taken by the photographer Schwicity right at the edge of the sea between Paranga and Psarou. Check out his site here to get another perspective of Mykonos!!!

μια αγάπη! One love!

What’s your number?

It’s all about the number.

Whether it’s 30, 50, 60 or even 70- Baby, you better be protecting that skin of yours! My number varies. It truly depends on my mood, hence the 75 sunscreens I have in my beach bag!

My favorites include: Laroche-Posay Anthelios for a beautiful, caramel color tan with superb UVA and UVB protection for the face and body. Garnier Ambre Solaire is soooo light, you barely feel like you have protection on. Korres, a beautiful, natural, Greek product that moisturizes your skin and gives you a goddess glow. Neutrogena, for protection during my sport activities: swims in the sea and a game of Kadima on the beach (I don’t just lay around all day!) I use the Evian Mineral Spray to give my skin a bit of moisture throughout the day, not to mention a cool mist when I need it most. Last, but not least, good ‘ol Chapstick spf 30 for kissable lips.

A little protection goes a long way on Mykonos. Use it…you’ll thank me later!
