The Best Is Yet To Come!

happy-2013Feliz Ano Nuevo from Lola & Paz!!! As I reflect back on 2012, I can honestly say this last year has been a true test for me on many levels and I am quite happy to say adios to 2012. One highlight though was starting my blog!

Blogging has been a rewarding learning experience, but most of all a creative outlet that I truly enjoy! I look forward to 2013 both personally and professionally and I wish you only the best in 2013. Thank You for following me.

The best is yet to come on Lola & Paz!

Now to the important stuff. I hope tonight you share a special kiss at the stroke of midnight, toast to a New Year with a beautiful glass of champagne and when you awake tomorrow morning with that killer hangover you can thank me for the best hangover cure- The Hair Of The Dog. Enjoy!

Curarse la cruda (The Cure)

8 oz Mexican beer (I prefer Tecate)
4 oz Clamato juice
Cholula sauce a few shakes to taste
Fresh limejuice ¼ wedge to half
Mix in a tumbler

Enjoy!

The Peplum Edge

The peplum trend this season is lets just say pretty and dainty and I wasn’t having any of it…until I found this edgy leather peplum belt from Zana Bayne. Just the right amount of attitude and I am lovin it! This piece was like buying a beautiful leather art piece, but guess what! I found another great option for you at ASOS go check it out…and give this peplum trend a shot…It’s all about leather baby…and no, not in the 50 shades kind of way (NO! I didn’t read the book!)

Collaboration Nation

As you may already know, the big designer trend right now is to do collaborations with retail outlets like Uniqlo, H&M and Target. Heck, Neiman Marcus is even getting into the game! But I have to say, the one collaboration that I found… uhhh… lets just say “unusual” is the designer Cynthia Rowley and Band-Aid collab. Yes. I said Band-Aid, the go to brand for all of your boo-boos and owies.

Question: was there a demand for fashionable Band-Aids that I just wasn’t aware of or is this a product to satisfy that  “Ugh I wouldn’t be caught dead in a nude colored Band-Aid” moment? Whatever it is, it’s a fun idea and being the good blogger that I am, I thought I would show you how to pair your new designer Band-Aids with your jewelry, but of course you can always default to the run of the mill cover-up-of-a-scab look. You decide.

For you city folk, you can get your Band-Aids at Duane Reade. For the rest of the world, order them up at Amazon. Get them while you can!

I am stuck on Band-Aid

You can thank me later for getting that tune stuck in your head.
