Chora (Town)

My look I have for you today is from a night out in town. While anything goes, remember, this is Mykonos- chic and simple with sandals is my uniform of choice. I learned this lesson the hard and embarrassing way my first year on the island. While wearing heels, I took a tumble and was complete road kill! All in front of at least 300 global citizens. I was quite popular for the rest of the trip. So now, it’s flats and sandals only!

The weather of late has been quite warm and while these shorts are fantastic with soaring temps they were a bit hot and “clingy”…if you know what I mean! Leather and Summer…hmmm…

Still, I loved my look. I’ll do anything for fashion!

Silver and Gold

Meet Superga Silver & Superga Gold, my new Italian friends from Torino.
These fashionable and comfy shoes have been around since 1913, originally made from leather, they are now made in canvas and a variety of other materials…(see my metallic buddies). My friends have now come back onto the scene, experiencing wild popularity since Ashley and Mary-Kate (Olsen twins), along with Steve Madden, are now at the creative helm. What’s old is new again!

BTW…for you NYers there is a new Superga store right here in NYC at 78 Crosby Street. OR, you can get them from Superga Online (see link below). And, if anyone can find me the Superga Milano (size 39…these have Swarovski crystals on them) …you’ll be my new best friend!!! Or maybe I smell a new DIY project?

Wedgies (no, not that kind!)

By now I am sure that you have all come to realize that I LOVE SHOES!
All colors, styles, heel size and prices (he he)!!! Bring it on, I want them all!!
Today, I give you the summer wedge. Now, the wedge is much different than a sky high heel. With the sky high heel, sometimes there are those moments you fear… that the tiny heel is going to get stuck in some crack along the way. With a wedge you are balanced and you truly feel sturdy. Best of all, you are taller and your stems look oh so good! I love to wear my wedges with shorts, skinny jeans or a fun twirly skirt.
